South Georgia Banking Company will open its new banking center in Sylvester, located at 603 N. Main Street, on August 19, and the public is invited to join their week-long celebration, August 26 – 30. Free family friendly events are planned for each day of the week that highlight the bank’s core values and the diverse range of offerings available to our clients. The Chamber of Commerce has scheduled the official ribbon cutting for Thursday, August 29 at 3:00 pm.

Each day of the week-long celebration will feature a unique theme, ranging from flashback, agriculture, professionals, family, and forward focus. Each of these unique themes reflect different aspects of the bank and their deep connection to our community along with raffles, giveaways, charitable donations, and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

  • Giveaways* to include retro key chains and belt bags.
  • Prize Drawing** Retro cooler, bottled sodas, moon pies, and old fashioned treats.
  • Activity We will have an old-fashioned ice cream truck on site, 3-6p.  Our treat to you!
  • Charitable donation to Worth County Historical Society.
A day dedicated to celebrating our bank's rich history and legacy, emphasizing key milestones and achievements in Worth County.  South Georgia Banking Company is proud to honor the strength and stability that come with decades of providing traditional banking services to our communities. 
  • Giveaways* to include rain gauges and chemical pitchers.
  • Prize Drawing** a Yeti cooler filled with local meat.
  • Activity We will have an animal petting farm on site from 3-6 pm. Bring the kids!
  • Charitable donation will be given to the local Livestock Association.
As a bank deeply rooted in agriculture, it's essential to honor our ties to this vital industry. We'll showcase our unwavering support for local farmers and agribusinesses, featuring specialized products and services tailored to their needs.
  • Giveaways to include SGBC business socks and coffee mugs.
  • Prize Drawing A professional portfolio, SGBC Stanley, and a gift certificate to a local coffee shop.
  • Activity We will have a shred truck onsite from 3-6 pm. Individuals are invited to bring by their unneeded confidential documents to be destroyed by @Shred-it.***
  • Charitable donation to Worth County Black History Digital Footprint.
Our commitment to local business and professionals is paramount. On this day, we'll highlight our comprehensive suite of financial solutions designed to support entrepreneurs and business owners.
  • Giveaways will include piggy banks and grocery totes.
  • Prize Drawing  Wild adventure pass for family of four.
  • Activities will include bouncy house fun for the family from 3-6 pm.
  • Charitable donation to the Worth Lodge #194.
Family is at the heart of everything we do. This day will celebrate the importance of family bonds, both at home and in the community.
  • Giveaways to include sunglasses and hand fans.
  • Prize Drawing an iPad and Apple AirPods package.
  • Activities to include live music, grilled hotdogs, and hamburgers from 3-6 pm.
  • Charity donations to Worth County Shriner’s Club.

*Giveaways will be available to the first 75 people who come by the new Sylvester Banking Center each day.
